Research paper due in June - eegads. Thinking about this as a topic. Please take the time to watch it all, it's short and really creatively explained/animated.
Very interesting. While watching my thought was, "there has to be something to entice drug man. into wanting to share", and that enticement is usually cash. The patent pool is very interesting. I am wondering if people will smell 'socialism' and freak. You know how that term is tossed about here like a hot potato!
yeah, but sadly sticking to strict capitalism means monopolizing life-saving medicines just to make a decent profit. did you watch parts 2,3, and 4? they talk about a possible solution. MSF is trying to get drug companies to sign onto the patent pool currently. if i can find enough resources i'd like to write on this, maybe present factual insight from opposing views.
